The mandate was to design an advertising campaign for products found in a drugstore. I chose to work with Cake Beauty, a company which sells hair and body hygiene products with scents inspired from sweet desserts. The purpose of the campaign is to increase the visibility of their brand and give the consumers a taste of what they have to offer.

The Approach
The approach taken for this series of three ads is witty and fun by having the viewers make a connection between their love for sweets and the sweet scents of the products. I chose pink as the main colour due to the fact that the brand predominantly uses it already and therefore respects their brand's identity. The slogan I chose was “No Calories Here”, which reflects the quirkiness of the brand by comparing the dessert to the non-edible product.

The solution
The end result is a campaign that evokes a smile and is visually interesting to look at. The ad invites the viewer into their world by mimicking the neon signs in bakeries or ice cream shops. The campaign promotes the brands values and personality by using a lighthearted approach. The ads may be placed in beauty magazines, on Instagram, bus shelters or even in the metro.
